EIFS Consulting and Repair provides professional, independent third party inspections (AWCI Certified),moisture testing (water intrusion) for residential and commercial structures, damage inspection/assessment and repair recommendations for all Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems, also called "synthetic stucco"(i.e. Dryvit, Sto, Senergy, Finestone, TEC, Parex, Pleko, Damtite, Shield, etc.).

Our Visual Inspection Form makes it easy for anyone to determine if a moisture intrution test would be advisable for their structure. Many other check sheets, drawings and forms simplify the EIFS installation, inspection and maintenance process.

Starting in 1985, we developed specific training seminars and specifications to inform architects, general contractors and EIFS installers on the design and technical requirements of EIFS. These seminars are continually updated to reflect the changing systems (drainage), code and market requirements.

Maintenance, cleaning, and total exterior revitalization are all services we provide in addition to consulting and damage assessment.

Please contact us if you have a need for any of the services listed.

Moisture Testing-Residential and Commercial

Moisture Intrusion Testing

Moisture intrusion and damage are serious concerns for most owners of EIFS buildings. Before you lose too much sleep, determine if you really have a problem.

It is a good idea to examine your home or building to see if the EIFS, caulking and flashing meet the basic standards. Use our Visual Inspection Sheet, Sealant Location Guide and Flashing Location Guide. Caulking and Flashing are essential for the prevention of moisture infiltration and water damage.

Finding a Qualified Inspector

If you determine that the caulking or flashing are missing or improperly installed, a professional inspector is probably needed. Finding an inspector who is knowledgable and trained to specifically test EIFS is your next task.
