Credentials:
I learned the EIFS business starting with the basics in the field. Over the years, I have expanded my base of knowledge to include many areas related to the EIFS industry including; specification writing, standards and testing procedures, sealants and flashing, moisture intrusion (it's detection and prevention), standard stucco and Residential Building Code requirements/interpretation.
Recently, I have submitted code language to the North Carolina Building Code Council to clarify the requirements for window flashing to be used with all exterior claddings to help eliminate moisture intrusion which is causing the majority of the damage in residential structures.
Currently a member of the Carolina Lath and Plastering Association Board of Directors and Chairman of the Technical Committee.
