Rust Stains

Rust stains can usually be removed without damage to the EIFS finish but the cleaner can be very dangerous. Additionally, a specific process must be followed or the color will be removed from the finish.

Other Stains

Tar, paint, graffitti and other stains are difficult and sometimes impossible to remove. Small spots may be touched up if you hve any original material on the job site and if you know how to do it. We have been to scores of buildings where someone tried to fix a small problem and only made it worse.

If touch-up is not possible, the stained panels will probably need to be painted. How you prepare the panel for paint, clean the stain, prime the surface, etc. depends on the type and size of the stain, surface condition, location and texture.
